Tonight I went to a lecture given by photojournalist Alan Chin. He spoke to us about his career and some of his personal photographs. It’s always nice to hear professionals speak about themselves and their stories that have come alongside of their jobs. Seeing his photographs could have been satisfying enough for us, but he really went in depth on his thoughts and opinions of international conflicts that we regularly hear on the news. He was there in person and has a different viewpoint than the American censored media has to offer. Some of his photographs that were quite gruesome but as he explained are somewhat more important then those released in the press simply because they really hit home with what is currently happening or what has in the past. He also has a large growing body of work about America. His personal viewpoints on our country were so true. We live in an interesting place. Check out his photographs I recommend it. http://facingchange.org/alan-chin/
